The journey of what would later become MIK Excel Solutions began in 2018, when March Ivan Karl S. Dayondon was working as a Senior Bookkeeper. It started with small automation efforts in bookkeeping and data management, focused only on his line of work and limited within his district.
In 2021, after his promotion to Administrative Officer II, he had the opportunity to collaborate with the Budget Office to enhance an existing Excel workbook. The success of this collaboration inspired him to explore more advanced Excel functions and create the foundational tools that would evolve into full-scale automated workbooks.
By 2025, the initiative was formally named MIK Excel Solutions, reflecting years of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation. Since then, it has grown into a dedicated project that supports productivity, automation, and smart data management across various administrative tasks.
Driven by a desire to ease common office processes, March Ivan Karl S. Dayondon began creating simple, Excel-based tools for his colleagues in DepEd Lanao del Norte under the banner of MIK Excel Solutions. These innovative solutions have made administrative tasks more efficient and accurate, fundamentally changing the way work is done within the division.
